111 years have passed since the nuclear apocalypse. All human life has retreated underground. The Bureau of Nuclear Recovery and Exploration for the Betterment of Mankind (BNREBM) has declared the surface to be safely traversable for the first time since the extinction event. An advance-team made up of soldiers and nuclear scientists has been selected to begin surface exploration. This record contains excerpts from the field-book of one such scientist, Dr. A.
