Just because you like someone doesn't necessarily mean you two should be in a relationship. If you try to create something you both aren't that sincere about, feelings could be neglected. If you and a person like each other and are close, I think there should be no titles, unless you both want it. I think you should give each other space, and I think boundaries need to be established.
