The year is 1918 and in America the element radium is all the rage. From tonic water and beauty products to paints that have an illustrious glow radium was well received. One dial painter ,Edith Smith, kept a diary of the events of the Great War, the time she got her job at us radium company as a dial painter and the events that unfolded in the next couple of years. This diary gives an insight into the lies and horrors that happened to many women across America.
