A City Above the Clouds Humanity is back on the rise after a near-extinction event. Blinded by their own hubris, in an attempt to make as much money as fast as possible, large corporations invented a toxin they used in their factories all over the world. The vapors eventually engulfed every inch of the planet. While most things died off, some forms of life were able to mutate and survive. The rest of humanity took to the skies, out of the toxins reach. That's where Jolene was born, and learned how to survive.
