Amy Carmichael's Dream

Amy Beatrice Carmichael (1867 – 1951) was a Protestant Christian missionary in India, who opened an orphanage and founded a mission in Dohnavur. She served in India for 55 years without furlough and wrote many books about the missionary work there.
In this analogical story, Amy Carmichael likens the lost to blind people wandering off of a cliff to their doom, and missionaries as sentries posted at intervals, pleading with the people to stop before they tumble to their deaths.
