Driven by the interests of the wealthy, humans invaded the regions inhabited by the Ancorns. Lacking the technological advancement of humans, the Ancorns had built a society rooted in agriculture, physical labor, and communal living. This takeover created a social climate in which the Ancorns fell victim to prejudice and systemic discrimination. Amidst this highly polarized environment, the lives of Milo, an Ancorn florist, and Anton, a human raised in privilege, begin to intersect.
