In a society where magic has been outlawed in order to uphold a crumbling monarchy all citizens are required to sign a contract revoking the rights to use their magic on the day they turn 18. Anyone who doesn't comply will find themself a federal criminal at risk for public execution. The choice to sign the contract may seem obvious there are a few who feel the price is too great and will attempt to flee.
