Bardo was living as a “slave” for a pagan monastery up in the shilverain mountains. She was now almost 18 and growing up to be thicker and stronger than the rest of the village. She often got beat up and ridiculed for being a “clear blood” especially because she looked like a monster compared to the rest of them.
