By Wayne Vansant. SOMEWHERE IN EUROPE DURING WORLD WAR II: Battron, a French Legionnaire, is trapped in a remote village with a motley crew of Americans GIs. Germans keep probing toward the town with increasing savagery. The little village is of no strategic value, and someone is supplying the Germans with information about the American forces. Who could it be? The old priest? The young noblewoman? Or one of the American soldiers?
