Before Lunatale is a backsrory that takes place long before Frisk appears in the Underground. All events unfold around the skele-family. In particular, around Sans - a small loser skeleton, and Gaster - a royal scientit and not the best family man. The main idea of the story is how events from the past affect the present and future of the characters? Why do they act in a certain way and not overwise? What danger is hidden in the deal and the study of souls?
