Gena is used to being called strange. Her hair and grey eyes made her an outsider. Moving to Mercer City should be a fresh start. Then she meets Kiomei, a senior at Mercer High and the first person she’s seen with eyes like hers. After a spider-like creature attacks her, Kiomei saves her with powers she can’t explain. Gena discovers the city is hiding more than anyone admits. People are disappearing. Strange creatures appear. Then Kiomei’s twin brother appears, and Gena isn’t sure what’s real.
