Bird Person is a story about Amica, a girl who goes to a new school, and is immediately intrigued by Ava, a shy girl who ends up sitting by her in her first class, However as Amica tries to get closer to Ava, Ava is taken aback, and lashes out at Amica. Amica later finds out that Ava has a troubled past with Orca, the school bully. Using this new-found knowledge, Amica tries to get Ava to open up more to the world and show her that it doesn’t have to be dark.
