Blade, Buckler, Bastion: The Illuminated Comic
Vikings have led several brutal raids on the territories of Wessex and Mercia. Jacob, Gabriel, and Aaron escape the carnage under the wing and tutelage of Saint Gideon. At this Bastion, scribes and monks are taught the way of blade and buckler to combat the uncertainty of the age. Would this be a time of mourning or celebration? Either way, these hallowed grounds would soon become a battlefield.
