After the Moon collided with Earth, humans gained amazing abilities called Aether, which allowed them to do extraordinary things. Now, many years after the collision, Rune Kakkulion is a bounty hunter who is just trying to pay rent each week. While on a mission, he learns of the existence of ten mythical objects which allow people abilities outside the realm of Aether, and if put together, grant immortality. Rune decides to risk it all and go on a quest to find them.
