On a quiet night, Delani, a retired Runner, who is now a bartender, is dragged along by her chirpy lab nerd, Vyren. She leads her to a shut-down laboratory and reveals a secret she has been working on that forces Delani to make a hasty decision - to stop her friend or to let her roam as a mutant in the underground city.
