Fun fact - Elves, particularly those from places where older customs and traditions run strong, don’t like to lie. That’s not to say they won’t when they feel they have to, but generally they try to avoid it. Instead, they’ll deflect, give half-answers, or just outright refuse to answer a question. Despite being Human, a close mentor of Piper’s growing up was an Elf, so he tends to do the same. :D
