Caroline moves from Japan to a new suburban town called Rye in East Sussex England. Caroline is an eccentric girl with an active imagination which makes her eccentric. She carries a doll who she claims to be her friend Tenebris. Tenebris is a doll who has been possessed by a spirit of a malicious child of unknown origin. These two make one interesting pair.
