Chasing the Sunlight is a story revolving around the life of a young girl, Diep Thao, in a modern setting in a mountainous Vietnamese village. After the death of her older sister, Diep Chi, in a tragic accident, Diep Thao faces challenges not only within her family but also in society, as she gradually realizes she must carry the memories and hopes of the deceased.
