TOPI had to leave my wife and baby for two nights at the hospital when we had our first. She had a tear as well so she couldn't help baby in the night because the drugs meant her legs didn't work!! When we had the twins we managed to have a private room so I got to sleep on the worst chair ever... totally worth it!
