Life and death have a mission. they want to make sure that all of the other concepts are doing their jobs correctly. What happens when their jobs are not done? Well, Death has to find a replacement Karma for a reason. Scarlet, an assassin who writes journals to be published as fiction, seems to be the perfect person to help find new karma. But will Scarlet and Death be able to complete their jobs? Life seems to care an awful lot about finding new karma very soon...
