Back to town comes Daffodile Pink, right amidst his senior year. Despite the riveting news, his future is screeching off the rails. His only chance at financial success is slipping through his fingers as he realizes he'd make a terrible botanist. His father was right. He ran from his friends and left home to rot, all to end up on the streets in 6 months time. As we traverse the age of television and hopelessness (1950s,) Daffodile must learn how to be a sad, lonely adult and to pick up a cig.
