Raen Belloris is a half-elf and a Codex for a religious organization known as the Erudite Church. Codexes are a mix of Scholars, Vagrants and Monster-Hunters. They track down monsters and curses, venture into dark dungeon depths and often face the dangerous threats of the natural and unnatural. Their reputation is infamous and synonymous with disaster and misfortune, a popular saying being: "Where a Codex walks, Death follows."
