The tornado sirens over Chicago begin to go off, but during a bright, sunny, stormless day. Mr. Martens, the 2nd Grade teacher at Aberdeen Elementary, gets a call from the principal telling him to pack up his class and get back to the school. Nobody knows what seems to be going on, but people are turning suddenly violent and dangerous all around them.
