The residents of a small town in 1348 England lived quite peculiar lives during a time of war. The shrouded mystery known as the Great Pestilence had gripped the small village with fear, and uncertainty for the future. With this, a girl named Evelyn also had her wedding to worry about to the well-known noble, John Steward. And yet all of this is yanked away from her when a plague doctor whisks Evelyn and her brother, Edmund away, in fear of their safety from an angry peasant mob.
