When Dexter was young, their Alden (elven caretaker) would tell them stories of creatures called humans and a world in which both humans and monsters lived together. Now in college studying Cryptology, Dex stumbles upon a book Titled A Tear Between Two Worlds. Curiosity getting the best of them, they drag their friends along to a ruined "gateway" described in the book. It's all fun and games until the gateway is activated, and they find themselves stuck in a world they'd never imagine.
