Aurelius, aka the dude with bird wings is a dream guide, someone who is decided at birth to help guide someone who was born at the exact same time as them to guide them. The person Aurelius was assigned to was a mentally unwell kid named Milo who (when the story takes places) gets bullied and neglected. Dream guides guide people through life through dreams throughout ages 0-12, after becoming 12, after milo becomes 12 aurelius finds out he is getting bullied and decides to help him.
