Elise is a 14 year old girl who lives alone. She managed to get a part-time job in her life for money to pay for her apartment. Something different about Elise is that she can hold her breath under water for an amount of time that people say is "inhuman." Students from her class say that they catch her talking to herself but in an unknown language that no teacher recognizes. Children also say that she doesn't seem to understand what the mean comments about her mean and how she should react.
