A young girl named Kiwi and her mother abandon their lofty, big city lifestyle and move to Basket Park, a remote town nestled deep in the Appalachian mountains. No phone and no internet, Kiwi is forced to take in her surroundings and face the great outdoors, where she meets the titular Durian: A rowdy, crude, but sweet Skunk who teaches Kiwi a lesson or two about making the most with what you've got.
