Nyala was born into a society where every child born into B ranks is taken away to learn their chosen trade after a blue tattoo appears on their 7th birthday. Most kids don't remember anything of the ordeal after re-entering society 10 years later, Nyala does and is determined to bring down the people behind it before her 18th birthday. She soon meets the leader of the rebellion who also remembers. She goes by Ember.
