‘Farewell’ tells the poignant story of a farewell in a small coastal village in Guangdong in 1953. A six-year-old girl named Li stands at the harbor, saying goodbye to her father who is about to set sail. As always, he gently comforts her and offers three coins as a parting gift. But this time feels different. Li senses something she cannot explain.
