In the future all robotic workers were recalled and deactivated due to civil unrest. All except a seemingly small amount who found refuge in the Himalayan Mountains. Emilio Rodriguez accidentally makes contact with those who remain resulting in them holding him captive until they can secure their village's safety from the outside world.
