Maple, an apprentice apothecary and bisexual disaster, ends up in a lot more trouble than she ever expected when she agrees to help Ember, a wayward yokai. Now the pair must navigate both the mysterious and dangerous world of yokai and the modern and changing world of humans in order to get Ember home.
