Ruby and Higuchi are Detectives at the metropolitan police department in Tokyo. After capital punishment became legal again they both started work assuming that the crime rate wouldn't be as bad considering what was on the line now, but even though that seemed to be true for a few years... what started out as a job for slackers changed drastically one day as Ruby witnessed someone being killed before her eyes.
