When I took culinary arts in highschool, my teacher told us not to stick our hands in the mixer or else we could break our fingers. Naturally, the guy in the kitchen next to me, elbow deep in the mixer, shouted "oh like this?" and screamed as half his fingers were gone. My teacher naturally panicked before she remembered this student had a congenital limb defect and never had fingers on that hand.
