My grandmother once told me of a very, very old tale told to the young children in her small village. Many would think it to be a story to keep little ones out of the forest. And grow out of it. But no. The story of a monster stayed nestled in her very soul until her last shuddering breath. "The eyes," she whispered on one of her last nights, "The eyes..."
