A coup d'état takes place in the desert city of Tyrogal. Nicholas and Sky, members of the royal family, were held captive in the royal palace waiting for their father, the grand duke, to save them. While under house arrest, Nicholas wanders around the palace halls bored out of his mind. He meets an artist of the rebels whose job is to create art for the new regime. Having nothing to do, he asks the artist to teach him to do art.
