Streak, first son of Shadowspur, is sent to witness the rise of the new Greyheart Alpha through a trial by combat. His mission is simple: use the opportunity to strengthen his own pack either by negotiating an alliance with Greyheart, or by challenging the young wolf. Whichever way it goes, Streak can’t squander the chance to prove himself worthy of taking his father’s place when he steps down. The problem? Ellis Greyheart may just make Streak question everything he ever wanted.
