A boy and his familiar make a discovery that could change the course of the future. She has no memory of how she got there, and sees the boy and his life as strange and unfamiliar. Then she learns that darkness has been spreading over the land for 1,000 yrs because of a powerful mage named Pitch. Why was he spreading evil? How long was she in there?
