The Marshalls are the protectors of light, the fuel of the world. They are guardians against the darkness. That perception begins to change when the Marshall Rhiann disappears. Her sister Aleksandra hasn’t heard from her and it’s making her restless. No one has any answers. The Marshalls themselves have been silent. It doesn’t help that there’s fear in the air of the light burning out. Aleks will set out with the rookie Marshall Jane to discover the true nature of Rhiann’s disappearance.
