It’s confirmed that V feels all of Ray’s sense: Sight, Taste, Smell, Hearing, and Touch. The only way he can drink/eat the things that he wants, is through Ray. Things have also changed since the 80’s. People used to know a lot about demonology but now people are kept in the dark, so Ray isn’t super stupid, he’s just sheltered. (He’s still stupid (affectionate))
