Angaatar, god of trickery, has been for many millenia the highest-ranked god of the Kongur religion. However, tales tell of how Teb-Tengger, Angaatar's grandfather, lord of the sky, was the original highest god of the pantheon. Many places on Konguras are thus named after Tengger. In one particular tale, Angaatar is imprisoned in a golden mask, only to be released after he repented his sins.
