The sun has burnt out bringing in the darkest age, a period of tremendous darkness ruled by Famine, pestilence, war, and death. The only cure is a race of supernatural beings known as light-bearers who can wield light. Nova, the lone Lightbringer in a dying community holed up in an abandoned city, must find a light source to cure the disease plaguing his people and ends up fighting another light bearer who is trying to save his people from a race of demons called darkeaters.
