Liminal Playground When Mary Anne turned nine, she was transported to a complex, infinite labyrinth most refer to as "the rooms." The vastness of the place isolates its inhabitants, and most live out their eternity alone. Those who meet seldom stay together, since many believe the rooms are a type of purgatory must be served alone. Mary Anne, however, did not understand this, and sought out adults to look after her.
