Two best friends with completely different worldviews, Ryoko can't see the beauty in the world; it's like a poorly rendered drawing, she feels lost in nothingness. Summer, on the other hand, thinks she has to experience everything she can quickly because time is constantly passing, and she doesn't even realize that, unlike Ryoko, she could appreciate the beauty of the world.
