For a long time I struggled with how I wanted to write Grace - I initially thought she might just be "the straight one" in a cast of queer characters, but it didn't feel right, and I ended up relating to that idea of thinking of yourself as being "just the straight/cis one in the queer friend group", and how that changes with time. I'm glad I finally gave Grace her spotlight. Arc ends next week.
