The drawing of Lucifer at the top of the chapter was inspired by Joseph Geefs' "L'ange du mal". This was a sculpture of Lucifer that was deemed too scandalous and beautiful for the church it was in, and it was eventually replaced by another sculpture by Joseph's brother. It fits my Lucifer quite well :)
