The life of an artificial soldier isn't easy, especially when you look like something out of a nightmare. But this is the life the gods have chosen for Wallander, so he must live it. He must learn to fit in with the humans all while training for war against them. As he gets to know the world and its people, he slowly starts to unravel the mystery it holds. As well as his own.
