What is a medical Zebra? A medical zebra is someone who lives with a rare disease. There is a saying in the medical field: if you hear hoof beats, think horses, not zebras. Zebras exist, and I exist as a medical zebra. Join me in this series as we explore a variety of rare diseases I live with, which include Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, and Hyperadrenergic Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, along with the complex nature of living with them.
