The fashion world in Mode IS the world, so much so that the governing person (overlord) is the designer of everything. Referred to simply as ‘the designer’, his/her (gender unknown) design/ sketch is the law. The designer is on the way to perfecting human life and humans themselves. Those that do not to look like the designer's image are outcasts of society and live in the lower levels of the city/country.
