She's been followed by the Grim Reaper her whole entire life. It's protected her from terrible things, but created terrible things around her. As he crumbles away, the Grim Reaper reaches out to her and tells her that she is his daughter. At nineteen years old, Morrigan takes on her father's title and becomes the new Grim Reaper. It was always her fate, after all.
